The heat isn't for all of us. While some of Israel's most fun activities involve the beach and sun, there is still plenty to do for travelers who would rather spend the day in air conditioning. A few of my favorite places to beat the heat include:
The Jewish People Museum - A museum dedicated to the history and culture of the Jewish people
Tel Aviv Arts Museum - An incredible art museum in a building that was once the home of Tel Aviv's first mayor Meir Dizengoff
Eretz Israel Museum - A museum with a large number of archaeological, anthropological and historical artifacts
Carmel Market - A large market where you can sample local cuisine and buy souvenirs and goods
Na Lagaat Center - A center and theater that provides a unique sensory experience aimed at creating understanding between people with disabilities and the general public
